Hyperhidrosis is the condition characterised by excessive sweat.
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition where one sweats excessively, in an abnormal manner, in situations unrelated to the temperature or weather. It most commonly affects the underarm (or armpit) area, and may cause much anxiety to the affected person.
Hyperhidrosis symptoms can be treated by injections of botulinum toxin to the overactive sweat glands. The botulinum toxin protein acts to block the excess nerve impulses that are a major factor in the condition, thereby reducing the amount of sweat produced and leaving dry, soft skin. Treatments are safe and straightforward and, aside from a slight pinprick at the point of injection, are a comfortable and painless procedure.

The dryness lasts about 6 months or more. Clients can choose to repeat the treatment every 6 months to maintain the results. Body odour generally improves as a direct result of the reduced sweating, however this is not always the case.
