Most adults with good general health are suitable for dental implants. During your implant consultation, we assess your bone density, gum health, and medical history. Implant placement surgery is carried out under local anaesthesia, so you will not feel pain during the procedure. IV sedation is also available for anxious patients. Most patients report mild discomfort for a few days afterwards, easily managed with over-the-counter painkillers.

From implant consultation to final restoration, treatment typically takes 3 to 6 months. This allows time for the implant to integrate with the jawbone. During the healing period, you will wear a temporary restoration so you are never without teeth.

Active gum disease must be treated and stabilised before implant placement. Our periodontal evaluation identifies any issues, and we create a treatment plan to get your gums healthy before proceeding. Many patients with a history of gum disease go on to have successful implant treatment.
After implant placement, you will have scheduled review appointments to monitor healing and integration. Once fully restored, regular hygiene visits every 3 to 6 months keep your implants clean and healthy. Our team provides full guidance on home care for your implants.
