Secrets Medical Centre and Southport foodbank
The UK throws away around 9.5 million tonnes of food waste in a single year – even though 8.4 million people in the UK are in food poverty, that’s one in five people.
That’s why this winter we are collecting food donations for Southport Foodbank.
these donations can include items such as:

- UHT orange and apple juice
- Tinned meat, tinned fruit
- Tinned Rice pudding
- Instant noodles/savoury rice
- Shampoo, Conditioner
- Toothpaste/toothbrushes
- Shower gel, sanitaryware
- Washing up liquid, toilet roll
- Savoury crackers
- Pasta sauce
- Tinned tomatoes
- Tomato sauce, Brown sauce, Mayo
- UHT Milk
- ‘Free from’ Items
- Jam
Southport Foodbank
The Southport foodbank helped provide 18,860 meals in 2022!
“Our aim is to help local people in crisis by providing three day’s basic food supplies. We offer this in a friendly, non-judgemental environment.
We have seven distribution centres, spread through the area and open on different days of the week.
In addition to this we offer advice and support around debt and welfare benefits advice, as well as signposting to other support services.
Our service is free and totally confidential.”
